Guapi Deep immersion
Over 7 days and 6 nights, you will share everyday life with Pacific communities in places such as Quiroga, Gorgona, and the waterways of Guapi. Through traditional music, artisanal fishing, potrillo canoe journeys, instrument-making workshops, and encounters with families who preserve ancestral knowledge, you will discover the stories, landscapes, and traditions that keep this region’s culture alive.

Day 1
Arrival in Guapi & Traditional Dance
Arrive in Guapi and enjoy an introduction to the cultural richness of Colombia’s Southern Pacific. After lunch, we travel by boat to the community of Quiroga, where we will stay throughout the experience. In the afternoon, we’ll take part in our first traditional dance workshop, connecting with the rhythms and movements that are an essential part of life in the region.
Day 2
Traditional Fishing & First Music Session
Travel to the beach to join local community members in a traditional fishing experience. Along the way, we’ll learn about coastal livelihoods and enjoy opportunities for birdwatching. After lunch, we begin our first hands-on session exploring the traditional music of the Pacific.




Day 3
Gorgona National Park
Spend the day exploring the natural wonders of Gorgona National Park. Depending on the season, activities may include whale watching, birdwatching, and time to enjoy the island’s beaches. This unique protected area offers an extraordinary opportunity to experience the biodiversity of the Colombian Pacific.
Day 4
Potrillo Experience & Second Music Session
Discover life along the waterways of the Pacific aboard a traditional potrillo, the wooden paddle canoe that has connected communities for generations. As we navigate rivers and estuaries, we’ll gain insight into the daily life of the region. In the evening, we continue our musical journey with a second traditional music session.



Day 5
The Torres Family: Stories, Legends & Marimba
Visit the renowned Torres family, guardians of a rich musical and cultural heritage. Through stories, legends, and shared experiences, we’ll learn how music has shaped community life across the Pacific. The day concludes with a traditional evening gathering featuring guitar songs, conversation, and music by the river.
Day 6
Instrument Building & Closing Celebration
Take part in a hands-on workshop to learn how traditional Pacific instruments are crafted. After our final music session, we’ll gather for a closing celebration hosted by the musicians of Semblanzas del Río Guapi, sharing music, dance, and community in a joyful farewell.



Day 7
Farewell to the Pacific
Enjoy a relaxed morning before transferring to Guapi Airport. As the journey comes to an end, we carry home the sounds, stories, friendships, and cultural connections built throughout the week.
